Written for parents, Art Costa offers this advice to foster the Habits of Mind in your children.

The Habits of Mind books are available internationally from ASCD at www.ascd.org or in Australia from Hawker Brownlow Education at www.hbe.com.au 

Where does Habits of Mind fit in the curriculum? (1) is a short short article outlines where the Habits of Mind fit in relation to the rest of the curriculum and other thinking strategies. Many teachers have found this useful in placing the Habits of Mind in context.

This article was originally published by the Victorian Schools Innovations Commission (made available with permission) and outlines the early story of The Grange P-12 College who was one of the first schools in Australia to begin working with Habits of Mind. The article captures a presentation that James Anderson made to a group of Innovation and Excellence school clusters when Art Costa visited in April 2002.
