Who should complete this course?
The expected audience for this course is teachers either begining to work with Habits of Mind in their classrooms, or wishing to extend their understanding of how the Habits of Mind can be applied in classrooms. Additionally there is significant support material for professional developers wishing to use this course in their schools.
This course is particularly supportive when taken in conjunction with, or immediately following, face to face professional learning. Prior Learning
Some familarity with the Habits of Mind is assumed in the following topics and good starting ponit would be to complete Course 1" Discovering Habits of Mind". In particular an understanding and appreciation of the development of the Habits of Mind is required as is an grasp of Teaching For, Of and About Thinking - both covered in Course 1.
It is also expected that you will be familiar with the Virtual Classroom and Learning Community features of this site. If you've completed the activities in the first course you will have the necessary prior knowledge. If you, please take the guided tour of the Learning Community before beginning this course.
