Who should complete this course?
This course is aimed at teachers and school leaders seeking to infuse the Habits of Mind into their curriculum design process in a sustained way.
This course is particularly supportive when taken in conjunction with, or immediately following, face to face professional learning. Prior Learning
It is expected that teachers undertaking this course will have a sound understanding of the Habits of Mind, and have had at least some classroom experience working with the Habits.
Importantly teachers will have completed Course 1 and Course 2, or undertaken equivalent professional learning. An understanding of the concepts of Developing Habits of Mind is essential.

At the completion of this course you will be familiar with:
- The 5 Ages of Curriculum Infusion as they relate to the Habits of Mind
- How the Backward Design Process relates to the Habits of Mind
- How to find the match between the Habits of Mind, student needs and curriculum content
- A deep understanding of how the Development of the Habits of Mind is described
- How to address issues of Scope and Sequence with the Habits of Mind
- Understanding the Habits of Mind as Learning Outcomes
- How to develop "Bettering Statements" for the Habits of Mind that can be used in Curriculum Design.
- Examples from a range of schools and year levels.

Habits of Mind Across the Curriculum.
It is also worth having a copy of Jay McTighe and Grant Wiggins book, Understanding By Design, and the Understanding By Design Professional Development Workbook.
A private Virtual Classroom is provided for teachers subscribing to this course. It contains directed discussions, and additional support material. There is also the possibility to have a mentored classroom for this course.
