Who should complete this course?
School Leaders and others who have a responsibility for infusing the Habits of Mind into the culture of school and sustaining this work.
This course is particularly supportive when taken in conjunction with, or immediately following, face to face professional learning such as the Mindfulness by Design conference. Prior Learning
You should have a sound understanding of the Habits of Mind. It is not necessary that you have completed courses 3 & 4.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course you will have:
- Built significant connections and professional networks with other like minded schools
- Generated an understanding of the qualities of a Mindful School, including:
- Mindful Environment
- Mindful Curriculum and Assessment
- Mindful Community
- Mindful Policies and Procedures
- made significant steps along the process of being certified as a Mindful School by the Institute for Habits of Mind
